English Premier League
(UK) government gives EPL date to resume season

English Premier League: The United Kingdom (UK) government has given the English Premier League (EPL) the green light to reboot the season from June 1.

However, Truetalk Sports had earlier reported published hat the Premier League is currently suspended indefinitely, with the coronavirus pandemic remaining at nine matches.

Next month, the Premier League and all other top-level England sports will resume behind closed doors without the fans attending stadiums before a coronavirus vaccine is identified.

On Monday, the road map of the UK Government for exiting the lockdown imposed to curb the spread of COVID-19 was issued, setting out the conditions under which various cultural and sporting events can be carried out safely in the country.

Step two of the road map, which can not start any earlier than June 1, includes: “allowing cultural and sporting activities to take place behind closed doors for broadcast while reducing the possibility of social interaction on a large scale.”
