Antonio Rudiger scored as Chelsea comfortable win Tottenham 0-1 on Wednesday night heading into Carabao Cup final .

Chelsea booked a place in the Carabao Cup final after beating Tottenham on Wednesday night.

Just like in the first-leg at Stamford Bridge in which we won 2-0, the Blues were in total control in the first-half but lost some control in the second half.

According to Rudiger, Tottenham Hotspur were dangerous in the second half because of a lack of focus from the Blues.

Rudiger speaking to Sky Sports:

“In the home leg, we were in total control. They came back in the second half, like today, and they were more dangerous today because of our lack of focus.”

On his goal, he added: “I knew it my head! I was hoping it would go in, so it was good. I’m working on getting into better positions. Last time we played here, I scored, so it is good to help the team and it was the most important thing to lead by example.”

Meanwhile, Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel was unhappy with the loss of concentration and focus shown by the players in the last 15 minutes of the first half and the second half.

Tuchel, speaking to BBC Radio 5 Live, said: “We’re happy with the result. In the first half we were the better team and we deserved to be up.

“But we lost concentration and lost focus in the last 15 minutes of the first half and again in the second half. We were almost punished for lack of focus.

“We played at 90% and that’s not our style – we shouldn’t do this. We had to work hard and it was not our best performance – we were better in the first leg.”
