Manchester United’s incoming interim boss, Ralf Rangnick will drop three top stars including Bruno Fernandes from his starting eleven immediately, according to Tony Cascarino.

Cascarino, a former England defender, believes Rangnick, who is seen as the godfather of modern football in his native Germany, would drop Bruno Fernandes, Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Harry Maguire from the team.

The former Schalke 04 boss is set to be appointed to succeed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer on a short-term deal until the end of the season.

“I was reading about Rangnick, about how he demands 18 hour days from his staff and will have watched 20 games already,” Cascarino told TruetalkSPORT.

“Well, if he’s watched 20 games of Man United’s performances this season, he’s dropping players! There will be players thinking, ‘I won’t be in the team next week then’.

“Sometimes you’ve got to drop people. I felt dropping Bruno Fernandes was well overdue.

“But there are others, he’s not the only one. Aaron Wan-Bissaka is in that bracket as well, and Harry Maguire, I think you can definitely say that.

“The top managers will drop you.”

Pending Rangnick’s imminent arrival, Michael Carrick will be in charge of the team in their Premier League clash against Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Sunday

Manchester United seat 8th in the Premier League table, 12 points behind Chelsea.

For Harry Maguire, the England international has been heavily criticised over series of poor performances since his return from injury.
