President Muhammadu Buhari approves new appointments to 38 Persons

On Tuesday, President Muhammadu Buhari appointed 38 persons to the Federal Commission of Character (FCC) board.

The appointment was included in a letter requesting approval from the Senate.

Senate President, Ahmad Lawan read the letter on Tuesday, on the floor of the upper legislative chamber.

“In compliance with section 154(1) of the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, 1999 as amended, I am writing to seek confirmation from the Senate for 38 nominees as Chairperson and members of the Federal Character Commission,” read the letter.

Recall that the Senate had on February 25 urged President Buhari to reconstitute boards of the Federal Character Commission (FCC) with immediate effect.
