10 players in Bundesliga 1, 2, tests positive to COVID-19: German Football League (DFL) authorities announced on Monday that ten players from the top two divisions in the country (Bundesliga 1, 2) have tested positive for corona-virus (COVID-19). Sky Sports

The ten people tested positive after a total of 1,724 COVID-19 tests were carried out on players from 36 clubs in Bundesliga 1 and 2.

The Bundesliga is able to return to practice on May 9 if it is given the green light by the German Government.

“We’re happy if we take off on May 9. If it is later, we’ll be ready again, “said Christian Seifert, chief executive of the DFL, in April.

“For us what the leaders are going to say is what is important. It is not up to us to find out when.

“We don’t want games without spectators but at the moment it’s the only thing that seems feasible.”
