On Tuesday, a new appointment letter arrived at President Muhammadu Buhari’s table for approval. Therefore, President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the appointment of Prince Paul Ikonne as Executive Secretary of the National Authority for Agricultural Land Development (NALDA).
This was stated in a statement by Willie Bassey, the Information Officer, Office of the Federation’s Secretary to Government.
The appointment is effective from 1 June 2020, for an initial term of five years.
In 2014 Ikonne was the founder of the All Progressive Congress ( APC) in Abia State.
He was Lands Commissioner from 2007-2008, and Works and Transport Commissioner from 2008 to 2009.
“President Buhari congratulates him on the appointment and urges him to bring his wealth of experience on the new assignment,” the statement added.
