The Barcelona defender, Marc Jurado, is set to join in the summer transfer window at Manchester United.
Jurado is expected to be named among Man United’s academy intake for next season, according to Sport, following his rejection of a three-year professional deal at Barcelona.
The Spanish newspaper states that the move of the 16-year-old was agreed earlier this week after “several weeks” of talks between the representatives of Man United and Jurado, with an agreement already in place.
Jurado has been regarded as one of La Masia Academy’s best prospects.
The right-back was with Barca’s youth team for nine years.
Now Man United is expected to pay a small compensation fee to Barcelona to attract Marc Jurado to England.
Meanwhile, for sixteen-year-old striker Joe Hugill, the Red Devils have already battled off pressure from Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal to negotiate a £300,000 contract with Sunderland.
