Manchester United are on the verge of walking away from a contract for Jadon Sancho of Borussia Dortmund, reports the UK Mirror.
The Bundesliga club refuses to reduce Sancho’s £110 m value, with United Executive Vice President Ed Woodward not willing to pay more than £80 m.
It was believed the two teams would meet somewhere in the middle, with negotiations over staggered payments also an option.
But after failing to come to an agreement, the deal looks to be on the brink of collapse.
United may even consider returning next summer for Sancho, while looking at cheaper options this year.
The Red Devuls believe paying anything more than £100m is ‘unrealistic’, given the current financial situation caused by COVID-19, and feel Dortmund are being unreasonable with their demands.
