Lagos state Government has discharged their 49 COVID-19 patients from hospital today.

On Wednesday, the Lagos State Ministry of Health reported the news in a tweet from its Twitter account, saying that 28 females and 21 males, including a Greek national, were released for group reunification.

The tweet read “COVID-19 Update to Lagos.”

“The 49 COVID-19 Patients happened to be; twenty-eight women and twenty-one males, including a foreign national-Greek, were released today from our Yaba & Onikan isolation facility to reunite with society.

Also, the COVID-19 database of the WHO African Region shows that Egypt now ranks number one with 5,042 cases and 359 deaths, with 4,996 cases and 93 deaths in South Africa at the top.

Similarly, the Nigeria Center for Disease Control (NCDC) announced that another 195 new cases of COVID-1 have been confirmed in the past 24 hours. The Lagos State government announced the discharge of 49 coronavirus patients from the Yaba & Onikan isolation center.

Just yesterday, cases in Nigeria rises to a total of 1532.

”The patients; 18 from IDH, Yaba & 31 from Onikan Isolation Centre have fully recovered & tested negative to COVID19 in two consecutive readings.

”With this, the number of patients successfully managed & discharged in Lagos is now 187.
