The Federal Government has promised to resume Payment of Conditional Cash Transfer to NSIP beneficiaries nationwide. All you need to do is check your dashboard if you are qualified for this offer.
The Federal Ministry of Humanitarian Affairs, Disaster Management and Social Development says it will resume its payment to beneficiaries on August 23.
This was made known by the Coordinator of the National Cash Transfer Programme, Hajiya Halima Shehu, in a meeting with State Focal Persons of the National Social Investment Programme in Abuja on Friday.
Shehu said that the delay in payment was due to system strengthening process in the project to improve implementation and further enhance service delivery.
According to Shehu “Thirty per cent of its operations have been digitised and will recommence payment to its beneficiaries next week.”
Shehu, however, noted that some states might not start receiving payment on August 23 due to some challenges, but she assured that efforts were in place to rectify the challenges.
In his remarks, the Chairman of National Social Investment Programme (NSIP) State Focal Persons, Alhaji Bala Chamo, promised unflinching support to the successful implementation of the programme
He also congratulated Shehu on her new appointment as national coordinator of the programme.
