ASUP Suspends Planned Strike Due To Coronavirus Pandemic
The Academic Staff Union of Polytechnics (ASUP) Suspends the planned indefinite Strike Due to Coronavirus Pandemic. Hence, we are to observe the lockdown but will resume at a more favorable time.

However, The strike would no longer continue as initially proposed, for the reason that, the rate of nationwide spread of the dreaded COVID-19 pandemic and its debilitating effects on the nation’s economy and people are becoming worse.

More so, he added that one of the key aspects of their government dispute included avoidable deficiencies in the deployment of the polytechnics IPPIS payment platform in February 2020 salaries against the union’s understanding with relevant government agencies.
