China prohibits the return of Ighalo as Man Utd’s contract expires
Odion Ighalo has been prohibited from returning to China, according to the Daily Mail.
International players may not return to the country until October, though the new season will start in June.
Around a third of the participants in the Chinese Super League is outside of China at the moment and risk being refused entry until far later in the year.
Ighalo is among a huge group of players and managers in that category, including Rafa Benitez, manager of Dalian Yifang.
The agent of the 30-year-old, Ladi Salami, has, however, indicated that the Nigerian striker may end up in the UK remaining. An extension is close to being accepted, Salami says.
Ighalo joined United in January on a six-month loan deal that expires on May 31.
In eight games, he has scored 4 times.
