The number of federal universities in Nigeria is set to increase as President Buhari approves the establishment of Federal University of Health Sciences Oturkpo in Benue State.
Presidential spokesman, Femi Adesina said his President Buhari approved the establishment of the University of Health Sciences in Oturkpo on Wednesday, November 18.
Earlier, the National Universities Commission (NUC) released a full list of all approved federal, state, and private universities in Nigeria.
President Muhammadu Buhari has approved the establishment of a federal university of health sciences in Oturkpo, Benue state.
Femi Adesina, the special adviser on media and publicity to the president, announced the news on Wednesday, November 18, after the Federal Executive Council (FEC) meeting presided over by Buhari, The Cable reported.
ThisDay also quoted Adesina as saying
“I just like to announce that a draft bill for the establishment of a Federal University of Health Sciences was approved and is to be cited in Otukpo, Benue state.”
