Earlier today, the Lagos State Government has confirmed twenty-three (23) new Coronavirus cases in the state.
A ccordiAccording to Prof. Akin Abayomi, ng to Prof. Akin Abayomi, the State Commissioner for Health made this known via his Twitter page on Sunday.
Prof. Akin Abayomi said “23 new COVID-19 cases confirmed in Lagos making it a total of 309 cases.
He said “4 COVID-19 patients were discharged as at 18th of April bringing the total discharged cases to 94@jidesanwoolu.”
Meanwhile, the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, on a Saturday confirmed 49 new COVID-19 cases in the country.
The new cases were identified in Lagos, FCT, Kano, Ogun, Oyo, and Ekiti States.
Nigeria’s tally now stands at 542.
